Photoluminescent Foil
Photoluminescent (phosphorescent) foil is a dimensionally stable, durable film which can be cut or screen printed to produce any interior ‘glow in the dark’ signs and markings. It can be used for safety signage in buildings, ships and trains.
Photoluminescent Foil
Photoluminescent (phosphorescent) foil is a type of soft film made from synthetic material with an additional layer of glue or anti-adhesive paper. The foil absorbs energy from any nearby ambient light such as sunlight or lamps. Once the source of extraneous light is removed, AS-44 foil immediately emits a light of its own. In opposite to fluorescent foils, AS-44 is able to emit light in complete darkness This product is non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-radioactive, comes in variuos colours and has a high glow intensity and long term durability.
Range of use
Photoluminescent foil is often used in the production of health and safety signage systems – eg. warning tapes and evacuation signs. It can also serve as a background to create an unusual innovative glow-in-the-dark effect. This type of foil can also be used in the production of information signs.
Photoluminescent foil can also be applied in the home and serve as decoration or ornaments, it can be stuck onto a light swich, telephone, door knob or an electrical appliance. Among many of its applications the following can be named: toys, fitness room equipment, entertainment and public buildings and institutions such as: hotels, corridors, offices, theaters, warehouses and underground passages.
