Low Location Lighting System

Photoluminescent escape route system (Low Location Lighting System) available in three options based on different material and mounting method.

Our LLL Systems

LLL Systems are particularly crucial in maritime environments due to the unique challenges and risks present at sea. Installed at low levels along escape routes, LLL system is designed to provide visual guidance in low visibility conditions, such as during power outages or in smoke-filled areas.

They are installed close to the floor, where they are most likely to remain visible, guiding people crawling or moving close to the ground to avoid smoke inhalation.

Photoluminescence

Photoluminescent materials charge up in the presence of ambient light and then emit this stored light in darkness. This feature makes them reliable in emergencies, as they do not depend on electricity or batteries, ensuring that escape paths remain illuminated.

Low Location Lighting System in Aluminium Profiles

Made of photoluminescent rigid plate complemented with self-adhesive directional arrows and safety equipment location signs.

1. PHOTOLUMINESCENT PVC STRIPS

Made of photoluminescent rigid plate complemented with self-adhesive directional arrows and safety equipment location signs.

2. ALUMINUM PROFILES

The angled aluminium carriers allow the photoluminescent PVC insert to catch more ambient light. The profiles are available in two standard widths: 60 mm and 85 mm to display either 50 mm or 75 mm of the photoluminescent strip.

3. END CAPS

Aluminium profiles are supplied with end caps which provide a neat finish and prevent inserts from sliding out.

4. MOUNTING OPTIONS

Aluminium profiles with photoluminescent PVC inserts can be mounted directly onto wall by means of self-adhesive foam or can be bolted into place.

REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS

dnv marine equipment directive 2014/90/EU logo

The A-SPE Low Location Lighting range is MED-approved by DNV to satisfy the luminance and flame-retardant requirements for the marine sector, and complies with the following Regulations and Standards:

  • Regulation (EU) 2017/306 item No. MED/3.40 SOLAS 74 as amended Regulation II-2/13
  • FSS Code 11
  • IMO Res. A.752(18)
  • ISO 15370
  • ISO 3864
  • DIN 67510-1

They are ideal for marine environments because they are durable and resistant to moisture.
