Heat Detection Tape
Heat Detection Tape is a self-adhesive warning tape with a unique feature of hot surfaces detection.
Heat Detection Tape
The AS92 is an innovative tape designed to sense and visually indicate when surfaces reach temperatures dengerous for people and there is a high probability of thermal burns.
By signalling the sudden temperature change, it prevents overheating, preserve product quality and ensure that equipment is used within safe temperature ranges.
Color Change
When the applied surface exceeds a temperature of approximately 60°C, the AS92 Tape changes colour from black to vibrant red, exposing hot surface warning symbols. Once the temperature decreases, the symbols disappear and tape reverts to its original black colour.
Heat Detection Tape has a wide range of applications, enhancing safety in industrial installations, engine rooms, offshore platforms and any other areas at risk of heat burns due to skin contact with hot surface.
The AS92 Tape is intended for surfaces with a periodical temperature change. In case of a constant exposure above 120°C, the actual service lifetime may be shorter than declared.

Installation instructions
- Clean and dry the surface.
- Remove any loose coatings or rust, if necessary.
- Remove the backing from the tape.
- Adhere the tape to the surface and press firmly.
- In case of round objects it is recommended to overlap the tape onto itself.
The tape is recommended for surfaces which change the temperature periodically. In case of the long exposure to temperatures exceeding 120°C, after some period of time the tape would permanently change the color to red.
